The Bus

Route and Schedule Information: (808) 848-5555. Website: http://www.thebus.org

Download DaBus2-The Oahu Bus app on your phone to locate stops and see live GPS of your bus’ arrival! Otherwise, click here for bus route timetables.

O‘ahu’s bus system, logically dubbed “TheBUS,” offers island-wide service. TheBus now offers Holo Cards, which allow you to tap on and off of the bus instead of paying in cash each time. Holo Cards can be purchased at numerous locations in Waikiki. You can load your card at the same locations where you purchase them. After making an account online, you can also load your card digitally on your phone or computer.

If you are traveling with a Holo card, you automatically earn a day pass after your second ride and travel the rest of the day free.

Exact change is required when paying in cash.

Bus lines that service the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa include A, #4, #6, and #13 (best option between Waikiki and UH).

IMPORTANT NOTE:
People carrying large suitcases or baggage are not allowed on TheBus. If you have smaller items, you can ride on the bus. Click here for baggage rules for TheBus.
